The Divine Journey
Sant Pandit Daya Kishan Ji Maharaj was born on 31 May 1920 into a deeply religious Brahmin family in Noorsah. The son of Pandit Hemraj Ji and Mata Parvati Devi Ji, he was imparted with profound spiritual values and devotion to the Guru from his early childhood. At the tender age of 15, around the year 1936, he was entrusted with the immense responsibility of the spiritual seat (Gaddi).
Following the partition of India, he migrated and eventually advanced his sacred service in Saharanpur. Through his tireless efforts, spiritual austerities, and immense spirit of service, he played a crucial role in constructing the temple in the sacred memory of Sant Bapu Jwala Singh Ji. He dedicated his life to the deep study and preaching of Sri Ramcharitmanas, Srimad Bhagavad Gita, Gurbani, and Vedanta, guiding countless devotees.
His life remains an inspiring beacon of sacrifice, penance, devotion to the Guru, and complete surrender to God. Contributing profoundly to the development of sacred spaces like the Gadarpur Darbar and Ramaraj Darbar, he taught that seeking refuge in the Guru, remembering the Divine, and serving humanity is life's truest spiritual practice. He merged into the Divine Light (Jyoti Jyot) on 12 December 2002.
Walk the path of Seva, keep the Divine ever present in your Simran, and see humanity as one family. True spirituality is not only in prayer, but in serving others with humility, compassion and love. Let your actions become an expression of devotion, and let your life bring peace, hope and goodness to those around you.
